Licensed occupational therapists work with patients and the families of patients who are unable to perform daily life activities due to life-altering medical conditions. Treatment programs are designed to assist patients to relearn general activities of daily living such as the ability to bathe, eat, dress, and perform other routine activities safely in the home environment.
